SALARY : R413 001 per annum

REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate must be in possession of an appropriate National Diploma (NQF 6) in Fire Technology as recognised by SAQA coupled with 2 years experience in Fire and Rescue services and a valid C1 Drivers Licence.
Essential Knowledge, Skills And Competencies Required: The successful candidate must have: Sound knowledge of Disaster Management Act; Fire Brigade Act
Knowledge of Fire and Rescue Services procedures; Public Service Act; Municipal Regulations and policies; Ability to analyze and interpret policies; Minute taking and report writing skills
Good organisational skills, office management and document tracking; Capacity building; Good communication skills (verbal and written) with municipalities
Traditional Institutions, Public, private sector staff and management; Good computer literacy in MS Office (Ms Word, Ms Excel and PowerPoint).
DUTIES
The successful candidate will be required to support municipalities and stakeholders with fire and rescue services with the following responsibilities: Monitor, evaluate and provide support with the development and implementation of plans, legislative frameworks and strategies for fire and rescue services within the Province
Implement and support municipalities with fire safety and services capacity building programmes; Support with establishment and maintenance of IGR structures in fire and rescue services
Support municipalities with coordination of response capabilities; Provide technical support for compliance with National and Provincial imperatives.
